The oil and gas separation element is the key component to determine the compressed air quality of air compressor, and its performance will directly affect the effective power, oil consumption and the stable, clean and dry air output. High quality oil and gas separation filter elements can not only ensure the high efficiency of the compressor, but also the filter life of thousands of hours.
The compressed air from the air compressor carries large and small oil droplets. Large oil droplets can be easily separated when passing through the oil and gas separator, while small oil droplets (suspended oil particles) must be filtered through the micron glass fiber filter material layer of the oil and gas separation filter element.There is a diffusion effect of particles through the filter material, which is directly intercepted by the filter material, and a condensation mechanism of inertial collision, so that suspended oil particles in the compressed air can quickly condense into large oil droplets.Under the action of gravity, the oil accumulates at the bottom of the oil separator, and siphons back to the lubrication system through the return tubing at the concave of the bottom of the filter element, so as to discharge purer compressed air.
The solid particles in compressed air stay in the filter layer when they pass through the oil separation filter core, which leads to the increasing pressure difference (resistance) of the oil separation core. As the service time of oil filter element increases, when the pressure difference of oil filter element reaches 0.08 to 0.1mpa, the filter element must be replaced, otherwise the compressor operation cost will be increased.
