They are responsible for filtering the media in the engine's intake system, lubrication system and combustion system. The air filter is located in the engine's air intake system. It is an assembly consisting of one or several filter components that clean the air. Its main function is to filter out harmful impurities in the air that will enter the cylinder to reduce the early wear of the cylinder, piston, piston ring, valve and valve seat.

Air filter elements for Pall filter elements are divided into two types: dry filter element and wet filter element:

The dry Pall filter element is made of filter paper or non-woven fabric. In order to increase the air passage area, most of the filter elements are processed with many small wrinkles. When the filter element is slightly soiled, compressed air can be used to blow it off. When the filter element is seriously soiled, the new element should be replaced in time.

The wet pall filter element is made of sponge-like polyurethane material. When installing, some oil should be added dropwise and rubbed by hand to absorb foreign matter in the air. If the filter element is contaminated, it can be cleaned with cleaning oil. Excessive contamination should also be replaced with a new filter element.

During the use of the Pall filter element, it is necessary to prevent some solid objects from entering the filter element system to prevent blockage and seizure inside the filter element, and when in use, it should be properly inspected and maintained regularly. What's more, it needs to be cleaned regularly. After a period of use, some waste or impurities will be generated inside the system. This needs to be cleaned from time to time in order to achieve above 80% cleanliness. It is necessary to ensure that the filter paper is often wet, to avoid the occurrence of dryness, so that the use life is longer, and the filtering effect is more fine.
